Florence Cats (BE) is an artist and improviser inspired by the vibratory nature of perceptions. She plays the prepared theremin, oscillating through the field with micro-kinetic elements. 
Her minimal field-recording music has been released on labels such as Ediçoes CN, Ftarri, Frissons, Leiter, and Corvo Records.
She improvises and collaborates internationally.

Selected as an Emerging Sound Artist (2023), curator of the eye.ear event series (2024) and a series of group shows (2020–2021), she has published several books with Primitive Press.

She has performed at KET (Athens), MIM (Brussels), Minard Theater (Ghent), Mengi (Reykjavik), among others, and has been artist-in-residence at the Belgian Academy in Rome, Q-O2 (Brussels), and SIM (Reykjavik).

She is also an acupuncturist.

Florence Cats est une artiste belge inspirée par la nature vibratoire des perceptions. Elle joue au thérémine préparé en oscillant à travers le champ avec de petits éléments cinétiques.
Ses field recordings sont sorti sur les labels Ediçoes CN, Ftarri, Frissons, Leiter et Corvo Records.
Elle improvise et collabore internationalement, s'est notamment prroduite à KET (Athènes), MIM (Bruxelles), Minard Theater (Gand), Mengi (Reykjavik), et a été artiste en résidence à l'académie belge de Rome, Q-O2 (Bruxelles), SIM (Reykjavik) et rendez-vous (Helsinki)

En 2023, elle a été sélectionnée comme artiste sonore émergeante, en 2024 elle a fondé le cycle transversal eye.ear (2024). Elle est également acupunctrice et co-autrice de plusieurs livres chez primitive-press.
